Have A Go Meet!

Attending a Have A Go Meet at the QEII pool or around the region is the perfect way to try competitive swimming for the first time. There are one or two length options of each stroke, you don’t need to sign up – just turn up on the day! There will be lots of people around to help as well as lots of swimmers trying out racing for the first time as well – kind of like dipping your toe in!

If you enjoy it, you should consider becoming a member of the club so that you can race as a competitive swimmer. You do not have to be a member of the QEII club to attend Have A Go meets but please feel free to come and say hi to us!

Race at a QEII Junior Splash!

QEII Junior Splash meets are designed for junior members to try out a more formal swimming competition, try some different races, and track their progress. You will need to register with Swimming NZ as a Recreational Swimmer but good news – its free! These meets are the next step up from Have A Go Meets but don’t worry – we will not DQ you! These are organised and held at QEII and we love having new members come down and give it a go.
