Entries open for QEII Ruth Woolley Memorial Meet

We are excited that entries are now open for the 2025 QEII Ruth Woolley Memorial Meet held at Jellie Park Recreation and Sports Centre on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May 2025.

The meet will be held over three sessions and has Not Faster Than Times. We are also super excited for the addition of the stroke relays [4x50m Butterfly, Backstroke and Breaststroke] as well as 8x50m relays!

Ruth Woolley was a long-standing and deeply committed member of the original New Brighton Swim Club at the old QEII site before the earthquakes, and later of the QEII Swim Club. Ruth’s presence was constant and invaluable—she officiated tirelessly for both Canterbury and Swimming New Zealand, well beyond the years of her families involvement in the sport. Ruth epitomized the dedication it takes to keep our largely volunteer-driven sport thriving.

The meet is open to all club and competitive Swimming NZ members. Online entries close Monday 19th of May 2025.
