Long course racing at Waitaha Meet

Some big results from the team stepping up at the 2026 Waitaha Summer Meet held at Parakiore in the weekend!!! 🎉🥳

A huge shout out to Tayla, Sophie, John, Avalon, Macie, Leah and Maddie racing in a long course pool for the first time. A big difference as we found out but these guys handled the switch like pros and lifted their game!🙌

Stoked with a mega 52 personal bests from our 14 swimmers showing off all the hardwork since returning to the pool.🔥🔥

Special congratulations to Joe who qualified for NZ National Age Groups in the 1500m Freestyle, and Cara who added the 50m Butterfly and 50m Breaststroke to her race schedule at NZ Division II.

Congratulations also to Ben who won the 800m and 1500m Freestyle events that were run as the 2026 Canterbury West Coast Championships for the distance races. He also won the St Albans Junior Distance Trophy for winning the 1500m Freestyle as Canterbury Champion!🏆
