Amazing job from Ben who represented the club at the 2026 New Zealand Open Water Championships/ Epic Swim at Lake Taupō over the weekend. Just a second behind the winner, Ben claimed the Silver Medal🥈 in the 13-14 Years Men's race of the 2.5 KM NZ Open Water Championships!! On Wednesday we were excited to take part in a test meet organised by Canterbury West Coast Swimming at the new 50m facility that opens in Christchurch soon! Elizabeth, Ben, Callum and Max competed at the meet, with all but Max racing in a long course pool for the first time in their careers. We are all super excited for January 2026 and the first Canterbury Long Course Champs held in Christchurch since the earthquakes. Enjoy some of the photos below!

The QEII Team had an exciting and successful away trip to the Hokitika Best Time Meet held in Greymouth over the weekend with some great swimming and fun times! Despite some rain, the team had a quick dip in the pool on the Saturday when we arrived, followed by an excellent team dinner meal and a bit of team bonding in the evening.
