Big congratulations to Ben who claimed third place in both the 1km and 3.5km at the 2026 New Zealand Secondary Schools Open Water Championships at Rotorua today. 🥉🥉🎉 Representing Shirley Boys, Ben finished the 3.5km race in a time of 44:05.51 before an hour later taking bronze in the 1km in a time of 13:59.75. 🏊‍♂️👏 Ben added to his national medal haul in 2026 after collecting medals at New Zealand Open Water Champs earlier in the year. 🔥

Amazing job from Ben who represented the club at the 2026 New Zealand Open Water Championships/ Epic Swim at Lake Taupō over the weekend.
