On Saturday 8th March, we held our first junior meet of the year at our own Taiora QEII Recreation and Sport Centre here in New Brighton! 🌟
The meet was designed for some of our new teammates to get some times on the board and experience a swim meet for the first time in the safe space of home. It also allowed some of our older swimmers the chance to try some different races ahead of the upcoming season!
A massive shout out to George, Mischa, Tilly, Cara, Oscar and Avalon as they competed at their first club meet as well as Callum (it doesn't count this time round!) who went under the New Zealand Division II qualifying mark in the 100 metre Backstroke with a mega fifteen second personal best! 🔥
We had heaps of great swimming over a range of events including some big 200 metre Breaststrokes from our seniors who crushed it! 💪
Results have been uploaded to the Swimming New Zealand database and are available to be used.
A big thank you to all the parents who helped out at the meet!
