QEII Team on Tour on the West Coast

The QEII Team had an exciting and successful away trip to the Hokitika Best Time Meet held in Greymouth over the weekend with some great swimming and fun times!

Despite some rain, the team had a quick dip in the pool on the Saturday when we arrived, followed by an excellent team dinner meal and a bit of team bonding in the evening. The next day, we were up nice and early for some fast swimming before the drive home! 🏊‍♀️

We had both Maddie and Avalon competing at their first official swim meets, and they absolutely smashed it! We also had 13 new races swum for the first time across the team, notably both Cara and Tiger took on the 400m Freestyle for the first time while Scarlett clocked her first 400m Individual Medley! 🎉👏

Tiger also went home with an impressive 100% PB rate, while Tilly was our biggest improver with 19.77 seconds dropped across all her races.

Big thank you to the parents who supported the team while we were away. 🙏
